Liam started playing the trombone at the age of nine, initially studying classical music at the conservatory. He continued his education at the prestigious high-school jazz program at the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts. Later on, as a member of the Global Jazz Institute directed by Danilo Perez and the Jazz and Gender Justice Institute directed by Terri Lyne Carrington at Berklee college of Music Liam studied under Joe Lovano, John Pattituci, Linda May Han Oh, George Garzone, Kris Davis, and many more. He has performed alongside great musicians like Tony Malaby, Ben van Gelder, Daniel Fredriksson, Karin Hammar and Doug Johnson.
Since 2023 Liam is based in Europe and is part of multiple international bands touring France, Germany, Denmark and Sweden.
